IronMan 2013 Triathlon Winner

Frederik Van Lierde a young man from Belgium is officially this years Iron Man winner.

This October the 35-year-old triathlete won his first Iron Man competition in Hawaii with a spectacular time of 8:12:29.

To compete in Hawaii, the triathlete won first place in the qualifying in Nice France.

When Van Lierde crossed the finish line his first words were “I tried to be smart, and it worked out.”

He had previously participated in the competition and had finished in third place. So he decided to work hard to improve this year’s results.

Frederik’s story is an incredible proof of the Iron Man Mantra: “Anything is possible.”
